Ed has been a firefighter with the Bureau of Fire in Chester, since May of 2001.  He has been a proud member of Local 1400 where he has held the positions of Trustee and Secretary before being elected President in 2017.  Ed has considerable experience of dealing with issues, including but not limited to - contract negotiations, arbitrations/mediations, safety concerns, healthcare, Heart & Lung panels, and disciplinary hearings.

Ed also serves as the District Service Representative for the Pennsylvania Professional Firefighters Association Del-Val District which encompasses all PPFFA Locals in Delco, Chesco, Montoco, Bucks and Philadelphia Counties. Ed was  assigned to the C platoon, Station #2  on Ladder 82 for 23 years, He is now assigned to the Fire Marshals Office at fire HQ. Ed resides  in the Chester Park section of the city, and enjoys fishing with his 3 daughters and the occasional cigar.
